Last updated: 6 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of this website and to any course, test or training you book with MAC Training Solutions Limited. Please read them before you book. By booking, you agree to them.

2. Using this website
- We make this website available free of charge. We try to keep course details, prices and dates accurate and up to date, but they may change, and the website does not form an offer to sell you a course. Your booking confirmation is what counts.
- All content on this website, including text, photographs, videos and logos, belongs to us or our licensors. You may view and print it for your own use, but you may not copy, reproduce or reuse it commercially without our written permission. Accrediting body names and logos belong to their owners.
- You must not misuse the website, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses or submitting spam through our forms.
- Links to other websites, such as Square, Facebook and LinkedIn, are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content.
3. Booking a course
- All bookings and payments are made through our booking and payment provider, Square. If you contact us by phone or email first, we will direct you to our Square booking page to choose your date and pay.
- Your booking is confirmed once payment has been taken and Square has sent you a confirmation email. A contract is formed between you and us at that point. Square handles the booking and payment for us, but your contract for the course is with MAC Training Solutions Limited.
- Online booking is designed for experienced operator tests. If you are a novice operator or not sure which course you need, please call us first so we can book you onto the right course.
- Please check your confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in pounds sterling and are the total price for the course or test described, unless we tell you otherwise before you book.
- Courses are paid in full at the time of booking through Square, using the payment methods Square offers. Your place is not reserved until payment has been made.
- Refunds are made through Square to the payment method you used to book.
- Unless we say otherwise, the price includes the training or test as described and the registration needed to issue your card or certificate if you pass. It does not include resits, replacement cards or anything we have not described.
5. What we ask of you on the day
- Arrive on time with valid photo ID and any documents we ask for, such as existing cards or proof of your CITB Health, Safety & Environment test.
- Wear suitable personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety boots and hi-vis clothing, unless we tell you we will provide it.
- Tell us before your course about any medical condition, disability or medication that could affect your ability to operate machinery safely, or about any support you need. We will make reasonable adjustments wherever we can.
- Follow your instructor's directions and all site safety rules at all times.
- Do not attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs. We may refuse to train or test anyone we reasonably believe is unfit or unsafe to take part. In that case, or if you are late enough that the course cannot be completed, we will treat it as a late cancellation by you (see section 7).
6. Tests, results and cards
- Training and tests are carried out to the standards of the relevant accrediting body (such as NPORS, CPCS/CITB or EUSR). The result depends on your performance on the day, so we cannot guarantee that you will pass.
- If you do not pass, we will explain what you need to work on. Resits can be booked and may be charged for.
- Cards and certificates are issued by the accrediting body, not by us. Issue times are set by them, and their own terms and fees apply to renewals and replacements.
7. Cancelling or changing your booking
Your legal right to cancel (consumers)
If you are booking as an individual (not for a business) and you book online, by phone or by email, you have the legal right to cancel within 14 days of your booking being confirmed, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. You will get a full refund. To cancel, contact us using the details above. You can use the model cancellation form on legislation.gov.uk, but you don't have to.
If you ask us to provide your course within that 14-day period and then cancel, we may charge for any training already provided. Once your course has been fully provided, the right to cancel no longer applies.
Changes and cancellations after the 14 days
- 7 or more days before your course: you can move to another available date for free, or cancel for a full refund.
- Less than 7 days before your course: you can move to another available date once, for free. If you cancel instead, we may keep a reasonable amount to cover our costs, such as instructor time, machinery and registration fees already paid. We will refund the rest.
- If you don't turn up without telling us, or we have to turn you away under section 5, we may keep the full course fee.
None of this affects your legal rights.
If we have to cancel or change your course
Sometimes we may need to cancel or move a course, for example because of severe weather, unsafe site conditions, a machinery breakdown or instructor illness. If that happens we will tell you as soon as possible and offer you another date. If the new date doesn't suit you, we will give you a full refund. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs you have paid, unless the cancellation was caused by our negligence.
8. Company, group and on-site training
- If you book on behalf of a business, you confirm that you have authority to do so. The business is responsible for paying, and for making sure delegates meet the requirements in section 5.
- For training at your premises or site, you must provide a safe and suitable training area, safe access, suitable and properly maintained machinery with up-to-date inspection records (unless we agree to provide it), and a site induction where needed. If unsafe conditions prevent training from going ahead, we may treat the session as cancelled by you.
- Any quote, agreed delegate numbers and specific arrangements we confirm to you in writing will form part of your contract with us.
9. Our responsibility to you
- We will provide training and testing with reasonable care and skill, as the law requires.
- Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- For consumers, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable.
- For business customers, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or contracts, or any indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the price paid for that booking.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as extreme weather, accidents or delays by accrediting bodies.
10. Complaints
If you're not happy with anything we have done, please contact us at info@macts.co.uk or on 07440 441940. We will aim to reply within 5 working days and put things right. If your complaint is about an assessment decision, we can also explain how to appeal through the relevant accrediting body.
11. Your personal data
Our Privacy Policy explains how we use your personal data, and our Cookie Policy explains how this website uses cookies.
12. General
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this website when you book is the one that applies to your booking.
- If a court decides that part of these terms is invalid, the rest will still apply.
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
