New to Plant Machinery?
If you're looking for novice training, give MAC Training Solutions a call. We'll discuss your current experience, the machine you want to operate and what you're looking to achieve — then advise you on the appropriate training and arrange your booking.
Every person is different — so every novice plan is different.
Novice training should never be priced or booked the same way as an experienced operator test. Before we recommend anything, a quick phone conversation lets us understand:
Your current experience
Whether you've operated the machine before, and to what level, so we don't over- or under-train you.
The right machine & card
Which machine or category you need, and which qualification or card it needs to lead to.
What it's for
What you need the qualification for, so the training we recommend actually gets you there.
How much training
The amount and type of training you're likely to need to reach a safe, competent standard.
Centre or on-site
Whether it makes more sense to train at our Aldermaston centre or on your own site.
Your next step
Once we understand your circumstances, we recommend the appropriate training and arrange your booking.
Novice training vs. experienced operator testing
Our published 2026 price list covers experienced operator tests and assessments only. If you already operate a machine confidently and just need formal NPORS assessment, head to Experienced Operator Testing instead.
If you're new to a machine, new to construction, or simply not confident enough yet to be tested, novice training is the right starting point — and it always begins with a conversation, not a price list.
